Convection Lab 10.25.11
Convection: the movement of molecules within fluids or gasses. Caused by heating. Helps control ocean currents.
When the water became cool, it became less dense, so it sank. The warm water rose as it was less dense and the molecules are more spread out.
When the tea bag was lit on fire, the remains flew up in a little cloud, because hot air rises.
